Hello! My name is Ellie, I am a massage therapist and personal trainer with 10 years of experience. Your body is your one true home, the only place you will inhabit for your entire existence.
When we experience pain, we can feel as if our bodies have failed us and it’s tempting to take on a mindset of being at war with ourselves. Trying to fight our way out of pain only leads to further disconnection, perpetuating a cycle of feeling betrayed by the one place we should feel at ease in. This disconnection from ourselves is usually how we got to a place of dis-ease and pain in the first place.
Together, we will work with your body, to honor its innate wisdom and bring you back into equilibrium. I have dedicated over 2000 hours to education, using a multidisciplinary approach to blend modalities together that are best suited to your unique situation. If you are looking for therapeutic massage that is not painful, we will be a great fit.

I’ve been a massage therapist for over 15 years, and I’ve spent the last six years here at The Spa at Personal Choice. My journey into massage began when my mom was experiencing chronic pain — I wanted to help her, so I trained at the Institute of Healing Arts in Fortuna, where I studied under Sky Hawk. It was an incredible experience that confirmed my calling as a healer.
Massage is my passion, and I approach every session with intuition and care. When I work, I rely on my hands to “read” what your body needs, tailoring each massage to you. I don’t follow a set routine; instead, I customize each session based on how your body feels and our consultation.

I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for almost 25 years, with licenses in both Humboldt County and Sacramento. I specialize in Esalen long-stroke massage, a therapeutic style focused on supporting the lymphatic system and promoting deep relaxation. I also offer hot stone cupping and Vichy body scrubs to help clients feel renewed and restored.
What I love most about working here at The Spa at Personal Choice is getting to know my clients one-on-one and tailoring each session to their specific needs. I believe in the importance of follow-up care, so I often recommend massages every three to six weeks to help maintain your body’s health and well-being.

My name is Sarah. I have been a cosmetologist for 23 years. I do waxing, hair, manicures, and pedicures. I specialize in waxing and curly hair.
I love helping people feel good about themselves and their bodies so waxing and curly hair are particularly rewarding. I treat each head of curly hair the way it wants to be treated using a combination of the Diva Curl cutting method and tricks I have developed over the years.

Born in Humboldt and raised in northern Michigan, I’ve spent the past 14 years behind the chair, perfecting my craft and following my passion for beauty and wellness. My career has taken me across the country, with experiences that have shaped me both personally and professionally. Most recently, I had the privilege of working at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, a thrilling opportunity that deepened my expertise and love for the industry.
As a licensed cosmetologist, I specialize in a variety of services, including nail extensions, hair color, and medical skin care. I’ve also had the honor of donating my time and talent to support those in need, as well as working on movie sets, tour buses, and with celebrities. These diverse experiences have humbled me and reinforced my belief in the power of helping others look and feel their best.
When you’re in my chair, it’s all about you—your comfort, confidence, and happiness. I strive to make every appointment a meaningful experience, leaving you feeling uplifted and beautiful.
After a journey of growth and healing, I’ve returned to Humboldt, excited to bring my knowledge and skills to the surrounding communities. Outside of work, I’m a proud mother of two amazing children and enjoy spending time outdoors, painting, and immersing myself in music.
